Punat lies on the south-east part on the picturesque and green Puntarska draga (a small bay), also known as Kosljunska draga, and is only 7 km from the town of Krk. At one time well-know for shipbuilding, Punat is nowadays one the leading marinas on the Croatian Adriatic.
